How Long Does Open Heart Surgery Tank

Matter of honor

It was a while since I watched a movie. Lately I've focused more on the series so when I went to the video on Friday on the road I realized that I have been a few titles that I have wanted to watch. One is Pride and Glory. A priori the subject interested me: the police corruption neighborhood. A question perhaps trite in the film but if is done well is always very attractive to me. Besides sharing attracted me mainly because Edward Norton participated which is one of my favorite actors in recent years.

Sometimes when I see certain movies I can say no, can not be that there is both corrupt and loose motherfucker. But seconds later I think what can not be is that I am so naive. And as I said is that Billy Wilder if you can not say that everyone is corrupt is because they know everyone. Just read the press or learn a little bit to realize that as stated in the hackneyed phrase: truth is stranger than fiction. Although deep down I like to think that no, there is still hope and people who have principles.

And I really liked the movie. The argument is simple: Four New York cops are killed in a shooting at the hands of, presumably, a local drug lord. The officers were under the command of the brother of a family in which all are police: father (John Voight ), a retired police officer who keeps a secret from her past active, the middle son (Edward Norton ) , a homicide detective who left the streets because of guilt, the eldest son (Noah Emmerich ) police force responsible for the Bronx district without being corrupt, is just what you want and view it fat thus not want to see, and the younger daughter's husband (Colin Farrell ), one of the officers under his command, more concerned with lining their pockets by negotiating with drug traffickers to stop them. Edwardd Norton's character after being persuaded by his father returns to the streets to catch the murderer of police and found a skein of corruption that almost everyone is involved or looking the other way.

director Gavin O'Connor opt to show the dark side of NY, that does not appear in the cards but almost every big city has. Underworld are portrayed with intent Realistic, camera in hand in the action scenes and with many close-ups when there are conversations between the characters. It's a genre movie like that once rolled Sidney Lumet or the most recent American Ganster and the result is pretty close to that level. Which to me is saying a lot. The biggest handicap may be the little weight that the female characters are a bit wasted but overall is a very good movie and a pleasure to meet again with Edward Norton in top form, a very convincing John Voigth up Colin Farrell credible. After seeing the film it gives you the feeling that in effect as Billy Wilder said ... ..

Manhattan Murder Mystery

The first movie I saw Woody Allen was Manhattan Murder Mystery . The year was 94 and New York this point the director had shot some of his most famous as Manhattan , Annie Hall, Hannah and Her Sisters or Crimes and Misdemeanors. I had heard and knew the pieces and dialogues of his films, but my debut was this in Allen recovered to and Diane Keaton re-teamed with Marshall Brickman . From there, well advised by my friend Robert I plunged into one of the most filmographies made me enjoy my life. Allenian universe is known and repeated in all his films. There are few subjects about which roll their films but this aspect is often criticized for my key to its success. And one essential quality: a sense of humor and exercise are healthier than: to laugh at yourself.

remember reading rave reviews in its day on Manhattan Murder Mystery. The leitmotif of the criticism revolved around that Allen had regained a pulse and was close to these major works mentioned above. That was partly because in this film Allen reunited with two very important contributors. On the one hand Marshall Brickman who was co-writer on Sleeper, Annie Hall and Manhattan and another with the star of these: Diane Keaton. Diane adds a great deal with the peculiar fellow New Yorker Anjelica Huston and Alan Alda Woody Allen himself. The leading quartet achieved the thing works perfectly, the much talked about chemistry between actors. The scenes between Alan Alda and Diane Keaton has always been my favorite in the filmography of this man.

Although over the years, this film tends to be framed between the children of the author whenever someone asked me to recommend a Woody Allen film named this because I think it has all the elements Allen usual in perfect harmony. It's a comedy of manners, an amusing description of married life, passion and fun to study about the different responses of women and men in the same situation. There is a simple detective story riddled with classical references that are following with interest and serves as a perfect excuse to dig with skill in that you both Like this author: lecture on human relationships. A Woody Allen in top form with camera in hand and knowing the players choose to provide us a great time entertaining and revisiting ground. And of course New York, New York forever. An example of the love this man by his city. I Happen to like New York ... ..
