Costum Jack-jack The Incredibles

Steve Buscemi Rules !!!!!!

Some players apparently are not called to exercise players. They often have a thankless face, rare, difficult to classify. And that is often the main paste while becomes his best weapon. A silver bullet. Because when the screen can not help direct your eyes to them. Because they steal the plane to proteas. Because they have something special, something that makes them unbeatable. I'm referring to guys like Walter Mathhau, Christopher Walken, Chris Cooper, John Turturro or the protagonist of this entry Steve Buscemi. It seems that Steve now has good time to embody the hero in this case in a series counting the days to land in my dvd player Boardwalk Empire. But while one of my camels gives me I want to write about the good of Buscemi.

My fixation began in such Ghost World. It portrayed Buscemi Seymour, a middle-aged loner who goes blind dates and filling the gaps that his ramshackle life leaves you with old vinyl blues and antiques. Quite a freaky, come on. But with a special charm. Steve overboard so I guess I sensed something that made the casting. Previously, he called my attention to his character in Reservoir Dogs and Fargo of Cohen but was Ghost World which raised him permanently. And is that the character he plays, whether it is a freaky, yeah, it's a lone wolf, a guy out of this world, but so close that it is impossible not to take her baby. The movie is from 2001 and that year we all know what happened on September 11. Buscemi, born in New York, who had been a firefighter in Little Italy before the actor went to help out as many of their neighbors and then got involved to help families who had suffered the tragedy. He did so as not to give interviews or be publicized. It was learned later. A classy guy.

Now it seems that you get recognition after winning the Golden Globe Best Actor in a Drama Series for Boardwalk Empire. And I'm glad because it seems worthy kind of cute. His appearances in the series The Sopranos and 30 Rock were anthologies and filmography speaks for itself. He has participated in a few movies with the Coen brothers more compatible with forays into big productions that allow you to continue locking into more independent and taste, always putting his peculiar mask and professionalism especially in the hands of director. He has also directed feature films and shorts and some memorable episodes in series like The Sopranos or Nurse Jackie . He has also participated in documentaries about the September 11, Joe Strummer John Cazale or . A subject with interesting questions. And now get more recognition but fortunately has always enjoyed the esteem of his peers and fans across the globe. Even with an excellent blog in Castilian, Steve Buscemi Blog . As shouted Robbin Williams character that of Jeff Bridges in The Fisher King: I love this guy !!!!!!!!!!

Bryan Adams. Kids Want to Rock

Today is the birthday of a friend from school days. It is not easy to remain friends with someone for so long but it happens sometimes. Although many bands and singers listen to my colleague always will relate to Bryan Adams. With that guy who really rocked. I swear. I saw him. So to your health, to celebrate it in style and keep rocking, this issue comes to hair. Zorionak and KIDS WANT TO ROCK !!!!!!!!
Turned on the radio
Sounded like a disco
Musta turned the dial for a couple of miles
But I couldn't find no rock n' roll
This computerized @#!@ ain't gettin' me off
Everywhere I go - the kids wanna rock
London to LA

Talk about the New Wave
For a couple of bucks ya get a weird haircut
And waste your life away
Around the world or around the block
Everywhere I go - the kids wanna rock

Get me my DJ
I got somethin' he's gotta play
Wanna hear it I can't wait
So turn it up - turn it up...
Kick down the barricades
Listen what the kids say
From time to time people change their minds
But the music is here to stay
I've seen it all from the bottom to the top
Everywhere I go - the kids wanna rock
Around the world or around the block
Everywhere I go - the kids wanna rock
Everywhere I go - the kids wanna rock

Clever Save The Date Sayings

Cracker. Sunrise In The Land Of Milk And Honey

Las últimas Cracker times have been around here I have lost me. And I was screwed for a while because they are a band I have much esteem with a few essential records. My favorite is undoubtedly Gentleman's Blues but both controversial Forever as Golden Age have very good moments. And they joined their last studio album. Data from 2009 and is entitled Sunrise In The Land Of Milk And Honey . Like so many other works slept next to other files on the PC. After listening a few times when I spend my camel I gave it up and rescued him back in my Flament Mp4. Times are changing. Front

experimental, irregular and uninspired Greenland (2006) Sunrise In The Land Of Milk And Honey sounds like heaven. It consists of 11 songs that show us a band that still has much to say. Direct and spontaneous. Meeting a few songs that are easy and will endure. Vitamin pills and very well executed by these guys. As always I love the work of Johnny Hickman on guitars. One of these axes will ever guess on the cover of any magazine for guitarists but who knows what he's doing. The other band leader, singer David Lowery plays with his usual spirit, with that tone pimp, ue think you are throwing the fight. Always seems to be in bad host. Or so it seems to me. And I love it.

The first two topics Yalla Yalla Let's go and Show me how this thing work have a touch of punk with a chorus quedones and friendly. A great way to open the disc. Aggressively. The third, Turn out, Tune in, Drop out with me begins with piano, soft, and singing is the first major theme of the album. Damn! I think this song has everything to be successful. But that is today as the record industry is a chimera. Maybe We All Shine a Light and Hand Me My Inhaler are least convincing. But recovering the level and how to Friends . The Stones have Far Away Eyes and Friends Cracker. Cojo. Cause for celebration. Patterson Hood also works of Drive By Truckers .

I Could Be Wrong, I Could Be Right Time Machine and give way to a perfect final trilogy leaves me with a superb taste. Led by the energetic Hey Bret (You Know What Time It Is) with this harmonious home, to the delight Darling One sound to reach the title gives a brilliant Sunrise In The Land Of Milk And Honey . We have again achieved. From the distant Gentleman's Blues have recorded the best Cracker.

Dennis Lehane. Mystic River Carlito

has given me back to reading fiction. Save a Paul Auster novel in recent years I have focused on devouring books about film and music. Juicy biographies, essays, all sorts of material to sate my voracious appetite for carrion groups. But I have been a few weeks when I regained my taste for reading novels. For many years I read regularly. About everything in my college days. Go to the library for me was becoming a danger. For several reasons. Sometimes I was with a friend and did the rest together. A cigarette was to side and the talk prolonged beyond the fifteen minutes we had established. And then there sniffing for failed my novels section. I always liked and still does go to the library and confide in my gut. Read a back with a brief overview I have found a good way to uncover a few gems and the odd bodriete.

The last book I read has been Mystic River. Rarely soil read a novel if I watched the movie and less if it is as good as Mystic River. But diving for various literary blogs (soon put the links) I have read great reviews about Dennis Lehane, author of Mystic River, Shutter Island, Gone Baby Gone (three made into films) and other to win that I have many casting the glove, Any other day, chosen as the best novel of 2010 by the Booksellers Guild Madrid and whose story attracted me very much. I do not know when I can do with it but my desire to have increased after enjoying a lot by reading Mystic River.

In the library of my people have it placed in the thriller section that is always the first to look. It's my favorite genre. And this novel fits perfectly in it. Hard, harsh, uncompromising, has the power of the great authors. Those who are able to get into the story, you want to keep reading. Beyond the interest in knowing the outcome of a murder plot, on the other hand tremendous, Lehane is very good creating characters. You are credible and have a logical progression because they are so contradictory as any of us. Because they are doomed to a life that often kicks ass and they have no choice but to leave such as plunger in question.

Mistyc River is a fascinating novel about friendship, love and childhood. Where personality is forged and where the germ to occur after the short. The three protagonists of the book are for various reasons people seek to live parked barren ugliness around them. Lehane often influence the early life of his characters to hobble any explain how they develop later in adulthood. But far from turra psychological and middling Freudian analysis. Also knows how to build an entertaining plot and credible specific atmospheres. At times reading Mystic River came into my mind one of my favorite books of all time, In Cold Blood Truman Capote of , association with which I would like to Lehane if reading this. Fortunately it will not and will use their time on something much more valuable: keep writing wonderful novels like Mystic River.

Full Head Weave With Fringe

Since I have the use of reason I've always liked gangster films. I do not know where it comes from this fascination with such subjects undesirable, always illegal, ready to pull the trigger when someone goes out of its peculiar code. But the fact is that from the most sophisticated and impenetrable Godfather, through the street largemouth Goodfellas or The Sopranos, the strange and mystical Miller's Crossing , following the shot from Donnie Brasco and including Puerto Ricans of Carlito . Of the latter I want to write today because I have never seen but has lost none of its charm.

The magic continues from the day I saw with Susan in a meeting one night in the Coliseum of Java in Portugalete. Watch a movie of this caliber at that hour on a cinema screen has a special component. My memory is great and today I have it in the list of my favorites of all time and certainly for me the best film of Brian De Palma . In this director is often tagged as the most irregular and few people of the generation of 70 ( Coppola, Scorsese, Spielberg Lucas or ) but to his credit has hit as resounding as he wavers past, Scarface or The Untouchables.

Carlito I think his best film for several reasons. The main one is that in this film De Palma is able to add to its undeniable scenes management action a brilliant treatment of characters and an unusual success for the more intimate sequences. To which I must add that we are facing one of the five best performances of Al Pacino in his career (and that's cloth), a huge Sean Penn and the emergence of two actors who have given much play over the years, John Leguizamo and Luis Guzman. Without forget the beautiful Ann Miller Pennelope also perfect in her role as Gail's girlfriend Carlito Brigante (Al Pacino).

The film has the stamp of black cinema and several common ingredients. The most attractive for me is where the film which is based in Castilian title explains it perfectly, because in fact, Carlito Brigante (Al Pacino) is a guy haunted by his past that weighs heavily and we know from the beginning that will not be able to fight. Same thing happened to Jeff Bailey (Robert Mitchum) to return to the past and so many other anti-heroes of black cinema. The past can not escape that haunts you until the end, rather that leads ultimately to a site from which you can not go. The way in which De Palma presents the film is not new but at the time was controversial because in the first sequence of the film we see Carlito getting shot at close range and then be transferred on a stretcher into the emergency room of a hospital. It is clear that going to palmar. But then begins to remember and by flashback is going to show us how he got there.

This situation is not new in cinema. We remember Twilight of the gods of Billy Wilder. And it worked. Here too. It is not easy to sustain a film when the viewer knows the ending. We must be clear about what you want to tell and how. And then De Palma has it. And gives us a film full of memorable sequences and does not decline at any time. The action scenes like that where Carlito came out on an errand with her cousin and is in an ambush in a dark bar, the one where Carlito has to take his club to new gangster chop Benny Blanco and of course the spectacular final sequence, shot a furious pace in the Central Station in New York. Tremendous. A man who pursues his dream to touch it with the palm of your hand. But never catch a train so complicated.

As a counterpoint we have a few intimate scenes as well resolved as above. My favorite is one in which Gail Carlito follows the dance academy. It is raining and the character of Ann Miller Pennolope enters a building with large windows. Carlito choose to enter the front and placed in the azoeta covering his head with the lid of a garbage can while looking admiringly at Gail. We see that the guy has a crush on this woman and her determination to leave everything worth more if possible. Very well told and interpreted.

Al Pacino gives all keys to make his character believable. A man forged in the streets, character and an important verbiage. A suit to Pacino that unfolds with ease in every scene. The evolution of his character is credible and we find it impossible not to become attached to him and wish with all our strength to fulfill his dream. Also highlights the role of Sean Penn ( David Kenfield ) Carlito's attorney. A real bastard to what we see from the beginning. A man who has climbed defending a gangster and has gradually become one of them. Encocado into the bowels completely losing the prospect Sean Penn creates an unpleasant and nasty character. The bastard it overboard.

Trapeze. You Are The Music... We´re Just The Band

I recently read an interview in which Ian Gillan mocked Glenn Hughes. He said something like that all his life Hughes had tried to imitate Stevie Wonder . Is known fondness for the sounds Hughes Negroid. His career in recent years more to walk the path that soul and funk metal. I love his voice in both genders but I admit that I pulled over his soul aspect, that of Gillan seems that laugh. As Gillan will not read this you're given. And would like to keep the voice that now spends Glenn Hughes. Not the best of your dreams. But let Ian and sharp.

The grain is black in Hughes since its inception. His latest albums delve into it with varied success. There are great songs and fillers. Predominantly an attractive package with moments usable and I have the feeling that with the right people joining Hughes should record a great album immersed in soul and funk with all media. Black Country at the moment Communion with Bonamassa and Bonham has been a disappointment. I know liked but I find it tiresome and repetitive.

So back to the beginning and then I find a band to claim Trapeze with a very interesting couple of records: Medusa and You are the music ... we're just the band . This group like so many more ( Thin Lizzy, The Faces, Rory Gallagher, Small Faces ) Joseba I discovered a colleague back in 2003. It's easy to find common ground between this band and contemporaries like Humble Pie or Led Zeppelin . Their patterns are recognizable and fit into the hard rock and soul touch that also embroidered bands like these and some others. This

You are the music ... we're just the band is not wasted. Well yes, there really is an issue Feelin 'So Much Better Now it starts very well but has a part that when I hear it I imagine Jack Black parodied. The main composer and creator of the album is Glenn Hughes. It would be wrong to forget the subtle and brilliant guitar of the late Mel Galley and Dave Holland battery attach itself to every style with ease.

is easy to be driven by issues such as initial Keepin 'Time or Coas great song to coast Hughes recovered in some dates of the tour was by here a couple of years. In What Is a Woman's Role comes to my mind the failed Marriott. Both were inspired by the same sources with very good results. In this song we also hear a great job on guitar, Mel Galley one of those guys in the shade to sow it embroidered.

Way Back to the Bone also brings to mind the Smokin 'Humble Pie. It's another great song, harder than the previous ones but just as effective. Will Our Love End is the issue more openly in an atmosphere soul. Hughes begins with a gentle voice and the instrumentation is far from the previous songs with the appearance of a beautiful part of saxophone and other After a spirited Mell Galley to the six strings. Loser is an excellent start, a few catchy riffs to prepare you for the powerful voice of Hughes. Again comes to mind Marriott especially towards the end of the topic. You are the music is a good ending for a band that deserves to be vindicated.

American Beauty

This Christmas, I took the opportunity to return to see again a few movies. Some me the memory is almost as Carlito or Godfather and others had not returned to watch since its debut in film, if Mystic River and American Beauty. In his latter days and I was struck today, perhaps the surprise is mitigated somewhat, but seen again I still find a very good movie that has one of my favorite actors: Kevin Spacey . And there was a time when there was no cooler than an actor friend Kevin. He had an impressive streak Usual Suspects, Seven, Glengary Glenn Ross and American Beauty. Today not lavish in film (or I've lost track) and has focused on stage in London.
American Beauty is series Six Feet Under what Goodfellas meant for The Sopranos. Alan Ball is a writer American Beauty and creator of the series and it shows. The film made in your day a little sting in that hackneyed American dream and dig a little on his backhand, uncovering their misery and hypocrisy. And now seen many of his statements are still valid . The film questions that lifestyle paid for itself, that happiness fictitious and attacks with irony and lucidity. Approach is not new or original but if that activates the mechanisms necessary to stir something within us. And it does so using a simple and balanced script and some actors in full fitness that give credibility to what counts. And that one that takes the cake is Kevin Spacey. Spectacular both more comic scenes as dramatic.

interviews remember the time in which Spacey pointed out that the reference had always been Jack Lemmon. Of course he could not choose better. Because like Lemmon did in his day achieved many movies Spacey's character Lester Burnham in American Beauty we feel an enormous sympathy for him despite his gray life, with an unwieldy family (an explosive Annette Benning concerned about appearances and the success and Thora Birch in a storm teenager), a job you hate and many dreams unfulfilled. Trapped in a residential neighborhood and as noted on occasion the living dead. Spacey's character in the "amoral" physical attraction to a classmate of her daughter and marijuana provided by her new neighbor, a new incentive to live, a little salvation. Something as simple as being alive.

would be unfair to mention only that Spacey and Annette Benning ( Carolyn Burnham) and Thora Birch (Jane Burnham ) give excellent replicas domestic scenes with great moments in family dinners and Mena Suvari ( Angela Hayes) that causes a few suggestive dreams and liberating our friend. Not to mention Wes Bentley (Ricky Fitts) the dealer who makes teen to meet new sensations contributing to awaken and Chris Cooper (Fitts) separate chapter for him. One of those actors that you can apply that to "The Man Who Was not There." A guy who when shown on screen makes you inevitably focus attention on it. A guarantee for any director. Sam Mendes took advantage of a well-developed casting and a script with a few scenes of those that remain in the collective imagination.

Although obvious choices are two of my favorite scenes are when Lester Bunham goodbye to his work getting the compensation you want thanks to its privileged information about the embezzlement of pasta made by the manager of the company prostitutes and others and especially that great line he utters when he finds a job for which in principle is not named, says Lester, "I want a job with little responsibility." Both Spacey is unfolding as large without falling into the overacting, offering accuracy. Two other special moments for a rocker like me are when it rings of American Woman The Guess Who Lester leads while enthusiastically singing the lyrics while smoking a joint and The Seeker of The Who morning in a scene while preparing a healthy juice to start your new self. Kevin Spacey rocking !!!!!!!

Feliz 2011: Vuelta al trabajo y al blog

Today I returned to work after 18 days of vacation. The return has been rough. Always. Not to be just mine but I am among those who believe that work is bad. So bad that you pay. That's a phrase I often repeat a colleague at the university, told me in this life for many good things you have to pay if the job will look bad to get paid. And while you can not afford not to work. I have an explosive capacity to disconnect with the working environment of almost forget where I work, even for work, ha, ha. I write seriously. Today I crossed the hall to me leads to the bunker with a feeling of unreality. It seemed a dream, no, more like a nightmare but when my ass touched the chair everything is back to normal. Common greetings, the usual mechanical tasks, the flight continued ... Like Bill Murray's character in Groundhog Day .

Then a chic turn in the brain and tells you that is not too late. There are many things to do. That are worth fighting for something better and that much is in your hands. And you become convinced that what we have is not so bad. And given the current situation. To look for side positive and sang the Monty Python . For example this week and there are only two working days. And at the same have the flexibility to write, to escape some of the usual mechanical task. But then again turn on the red. And in this time of reflection, of good intentions, to-dos ... And you wonder how you ended up here. Was not it something temporary? The contradictions rampant and perhaps just as well.

As in the work I can listen to music (touch wood) to open the year I put batteries and chosen are Bruce Springsteen and E Street Band , The Who and Jimi Hendrix . I selected topics that I convey that attaining good music, that feeling of euphoria that you believe to be young forever. Songs that make elevate your mood. Badlands, Promise Land, Factory, Prove it all night, I Can not Explain, The Seeker, Let's see action, Baba O'Riley, Hey Joe, Wind Cries Mary, All Along the wachtover, Voodoo Chile ... Y still works.
